Tara Pickens is a retired US Army Veteran, Widow, Mother, and Grandmother who has dedicated her life to helping people become aware of their purpose and pursue their God-given vision.
In 2015, after creating her first vision board, Tara experienced a powerful mindset shift that led her to achieve her goals once thought impossible. God showed her that without vision, people perish and that same revelation, sparked the birth of Vision Board, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit.
Since 2016, she has partnered with recovery programs, youth groups, survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and combat veterans guiding them to press their way into the presence of God to become aware of why He created them, build their self-worth, create a vision for their future, and step boldly into God’s will.
Her mission is clear: to ignite a movement of Kingdom-minded leaders who believe that vision is not optional; it’s essential. We are God’s vessel so His will can be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. Through Rise and Build, Tara is mobilizing people to dream again, take bold steps of faith, and embrace the truth that this is not just a good idea; it’s a God-idea.
